Meet Ryan Dukes, Thunderbolt's Founder

ABOUT RYAN

Born and raised in Orlando, Florida but a converted Texan by the Grace of God.

Ryan earned his undergraduate degree with the Class of 2013 in management while playing football at the U.S. Air Force Academy.

He commissioned into the Air Force in May 2013. As a C-130J pilot, he was stationed at Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, TX. While assigned to the 39th Airlift Squadron, he flew multiple humanitarian, joint force, and air-drop missions across the world. In 2017, he deployed to Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan to support Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Freedom Sentinel.

Ryan has over 27 combat missions & 127 combat flying hours.

After being honorably discharged due to an ortophedic medical conditn, he started his new career in Commercial Real Estate as an investment analyst for the Stan Johnson Company in Dallas, TX. Simultaneously he enrolled at Southern Methodist University to earn his Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. He graduated with his MBA in 2021. In 2020 he started working at SCC Development Company in Fort Worth, focusing on retail commercial real estate development across the United States.

To continue his entrepreneurial passion, Ryan started Thunderbolt Energy Interests focusing on mineral and royalty interest aggregation to complement his commercial real estate endeavors. Over time his passion for the energy space grew and has become a central focal point.  

Ryan and his wife Taylor currently reside in Fort Worth, TX with their two sons, Ryder and Bo, and their black lab named Thunder. He and his wife are very active in their Church and the community they live in. Ryan is passionate about giving back to the Veteran community by serving as a board member for the Fort Worth Chapter of the Folds of Honor, the outdoors, and investing in the lives of those around him.
